MISSION STATEMENT
The Mission of Adopt YOUR Block / Litter-Gitters is to have every neighborhood free of litter and debris; to be accomplished by having one person in each block who will agree to be responsible for cleaning their area and encourage others to maintain a clean, healthful looking environment. Litter-Gitters will serve to interact with residents / proprietors and Governing Bodies within the State of West Virginia. This is an ongoing and sustaining objective to be met by all Citizens working together one block at a time to build a better community.
Goals And Objectives
Our goal is to have every neighborhood free of litter and debris. We intend to accomplish this by having one person in each block become a Litter-Gitter for their block. This vital role of being a Litter-Gitter in the community will encourage others to maintain a clean and healthful looking environment. Also it will serve to facilitate the interaction of residents / proprietors with the various Governing Bodies within the State of West Virginia. Our charter provides for two Neighborhood Advocates plus 13 Association Advocates one in each of the 13 Neighborhood Associations. All individuals entering into the Litter-Gitters Adopt YOUR Block operation realize this is strictly a volunteer organization and they are responsible for their own actions. It is felt by all groups of citizens and governing officials working together for a clean and healthful environment we can be “Together Realizing Individual and Community Potentials”. This is an ongoing and sustaining objective to be met by all Citizens working together one block at a time to build a better community.
