Even though picking up litter is a relatively simple activity and a good opportunity for exercise, there are questions that arise. Here are some of the more frequently asked questions.

What is required?
Your time and a desire to keep your block as free of litter as possible.

How often?
This depends upon the volume of litter but usually once a week will suffice.

What if I no longer can service my block?
This is a volunteer service but the equipment does cost so please return it.

Who do I contact?

How do I get rid of the litter I collect?
Set the bag(s) of litter out for your normal weekly garbage pickup.

Do I have to sign a binding contract or legal document?
No, this is a volunteer program but we do want you to sign for the equipment.

Is the City of Huntington behind this effort?
Yes, the Mayor, Huntington City Council and Cabell County Commission have given blessing to the program.

What about my personal safety?
You will be exposed somewhat more than just walking so be extra diligent. We offer an Orange Vest to increase your visibility to avoid problems. Please supervise any children you have helping. This is a volunteer effort and you are responsible for your activities.
